Ah... ze J has done eet and so shall I. Anyway, ze "femme in noir" was rather excellent... simple set, a bit cheapish (those white drapes over chair-shapes!!) but very old, sound theatre-ish and therefore enjoyable. Wonderful, genuine (not american-brit-down-under-parody) accents with rich, compelling deliveries from skilful duo, one tweedy and chameleon and the other stoutly energetic. The unspeaking moveress of events, however, declined with alacrity from spine-chilling to horror high camp. Did not see how flashdance stance was in any way especially horrid, except in a horribly funny fashione. However, minor quibble that, have to be thankful we did not suffer protracted angst or diffuse hubris. Why can't Singaporean productions be like this, once in a while maybe? The ad blitz for "private parts" is so bad, it could even be blackly, coldly (not precisely Singaporean traits eh, deah readar) deliberate.
