Yesterday I touched a goddess. I braved the acid monsoon rain, suffered a full UV treatment (1500 to 1730!!), and endured greasy proximity to other bodies, all in the hope for a glimpse of Faye. And how I was rewarded, oh how -- for not only did she effect an autograph, no, 'twas not merely the ineffable grace with which she did proffer her elfin hand, nay, not just the intimate glimpse of a filigreed ring upon her slim middle digit, not even the heavenly smile that burst from her unearthly mien to shine with a preternatural light -- it was that I knew strange rapture: the soft, cool wonder of the luscious moment when our fingers made contact, those few limpid seconds that hung like dew, that was when I knew adoration.
