Attended, with G, "Wedding Banquet" the musical adapted from acclaimed film by AngLeeLeeAng... was good, or rather much better than the merry-go-round of slick productions with slipshoddy casts inflicted on us recently. Welly Yang a delectable revelation, though his voice did sort of disappear after the intermission. Thankfully there were abundant harmonies in the pleasantly nondescript score (apart from "Stranger Things", which was almost really good), and strong luscious backup voices (issuing from somewhat less beguiling corporeal entities). And ending was twisted to suit our puckered censors, though I must (what shame!) admit I rather like it despite sheer improbability. Hehe.
